Our agency was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1991 by Mike McCarthy and Ted Stevenot to focus on serving the needs of small businesses.

Small Employer Focused. 

In general, group health insurance firms tend to gravitate toward larger accounts as they grow their block of business. However, McCarthy Stevenot Agency, Inc.’s goal from the very beginning was to add value by bringing large group service to smaller employers in our local area.

Systematic Service. 

To accomplish this goal, we developed systems that enable us to provide quality service to a larger number of smaller accounts. Today, we service our many small group health insurance accounts through a combination of systematic outreach, service segmentation, and technology.

Long-term Relationships.  

Our provider relationships go back many years, and we have received several awards for our work from various insurers. The volume of business that we do helps us better understand which carriers are the most competitive and who to call when a client needs special help.
