Dental Plans Made Easy and More Affordable from Dental Care Plus

We have been representing Dental Care Plus to our clients for the past several years.  As recently as last year, we added Dental Care Plus to our own company employee benefit plan. We are very pleased with the competitiveness of the rates and how easy the plan is to use. When we checked out the provider listings, we found all of our dentists were listed as providers. Our clients have been very happy with Dental Care Plus, as well.  Most of the cases we have written with the company have stayed rate competitive and service issues have been minimal.

As referenced on the Dental Care Plus website, the company, “…is a prepaid dental plan developed and owned by dentists in Southwestern Ohio, Southeastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. It is one of the few dental plans of its type. (and…) has successfully combined the best aspects of conventional dental insurance with the efficiencies of a health maintenance organization.”

One nice benefit through Dental Care Plus is that patients encounter no balance billing for fees in excess of what the plan agrees to pay. Traditionally, this has been the case for PPO and HMO types of health plans where the provider agrees to accept a pre-set reimbursement schedule and agrees not to balance bill the patient for any excess charges that may apply. Further, Dental Care Plus requires no claim forms and no restrictions on use of participating specialists.

Dental Care Plus currently operates in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.  The plan’s service area is approaching thirty counties. The plan was formed by dentists who had an eye on delivering the best elements of managed care and the desire to provide high quality dental care at a fair price. As far as we can tell, mission accomplished!
